Proprietors,
Mike and Kathy Fox, Steve Fox and Pat and Janet Finan, their brothers, sisters, cousins and friends established the Celtic Fox, Topeka's original Irish Pub and Restaurant.  Here is a list of some of the brothers, sisters, cousins and friends who invested in or are are involved in promoting the Celtic Fox.  Kaye and Tom Brown, Linda Hale, Sharon Gamblin, Carol Ann Tenpenny, Janet Unrein, Pam & Craig Mehrhof, Dan Fox, Greg Fox; Diane & Pete Gehrt, Kim Scott, Jean Scott, Ted Graf, Mike Oenbring, John Oenbring, Ryan Finan and Ron Rumsey.

The great staff and involved proprietors are proud to offer fabulous food and serve more Guinness than any place in the Greater Topeka Area.  Please join us for great food and refreshments at the Celtic Fox.

Sports,
Sports coverage is provided with four (4) Flat Screen HD TV’s strategically located throughout the Celtic Fox.  We are particularly interested in Ryan Finan who plays first base for the Lamar University Baseball Team and TJ Finan who is a tight end for the Kansas State University Football Team.  The Celtic Fox is planning Spring and  Fall Golf Tournaments and we all know that Ray Fox, Mike's father, hardly went a day without getting in 18 holes of golf. For information on the golf tournament please email Pat & Janet Finan at  Pfinedog@aol.com

Special Events / Calendar,
St. Patrick's Day is the Best Holiday of the Year at The Celtic Fox, but the party has already started so don't wait until Wednesday March 17th.  We will participate again this year in the St. Patrick's Day Parade and a Great New Block Party will be on 8th Street in front of the Pub.  The best food, drinks and party will be inside The Celtic Fox, located in the heart of all of the St. Patrick's Day Activities.

The Celtic Fox Mardi Gras party was the best party of the year as we prepared for St. Patrick's Day.  Let's all remember to thank the Scott family for planning this event and Steve Fox for booking the band.  We were excited to have The Rickey Brothers (a great delta blues band) and a tremendous group of  patrons.

Kansas Day and  Valentine's Day were celebrated with special decorations, music and activities.

Ron Rumsey is planning a card tournament at the Celtic Fox &
our Spring Golf Tournament is being planned by Ted Graff.    Please send us an email and we will give you the details.

Maps and Murals,            Map to the Celtic Fox

The family has added a  number of touches to personalize the restaurant, including several murals by Jeff Hisey, a Hallmark employee, and Michaela McCart. One, in the front of the restaurant, depicts Mike Fox's late father, Raymond, and Fox's uncle, Thomas Finan, in an 18th - century Guinness brewery.

A large map of Ireland, with clan names and where they originated, is on a back wall. Alongside is a growing number of family crests, including from the Fox, Finan, Keating and Higgins families, Mike Fox's ancestors.

The families also are welcoming crests from their patrons to display. Members of the 190th Air Refueling Wing brought in the crest of Col. Mike O'Toole, who died in August while piloting his private airplane.

Parties and Bookings,
The Celtic Fox's Back room is available by reservation.  It is the perfect place for any group to share food, drinks and thoughts.  It is a popular place throughout the year and particularly when the Kansas State Legislature is in session.

History & Legends,
The large stone and brick arch between the bar and the side dining room contains stones from Blarney Ireland, near the castle. This entrance was constructed to resemble the St. James Gate at the Guinness Brewery.  The wee little people believe that if a pretty person rubs the stones properly their wish will be granted.  The Celtic Fox is located in a very old and historic building that was built in the mid 1800's.  The third floor was the first location for the Washburn University Law School.

The Topeka Irish Committee,
The Celtic Fox's is home of the Topeka Irish Committee, who sponsor the Topeka St. Patrick's Day Parade, Breakfast, Dance contest and so much more.  This great Irish committee has over 850 members.  They are all invited to place their family coat of arms next to the Pub's large map of the Emerald Isle.
